It seems that the honeymoon period between my Playbook and I have come to an abrupt end sooner than I would’ve liked. The touchscreen is acting up quite badly. I don’t know if it’s just the way I’m typing on the tablet (maybe there’s a “correct” way to do it) or the thing just turns into a pile of boxy excrement after a couple of weeks of use… Sigh.
Since I’m in my hometown, I made a brief trip to my old elementary school, which is just a 5-minutes walk from my house, where I spent some 3-months of 4th grade experience. It looked pretty beaten up from ground up due to a lack of funding, and probably not much fuck given to taking care of the place, I suppose. Brought back memories nevertheless.
The thing is, I haven’t had much, or any, pleasure of being back in Palembang, aside from seeing my parents since I got here.
Everyone seems to take their time here. And I’m not talking about the good kind of slow-but-still-working-like-robots kind of thing. Generally, people just seems to be lazy.
Work is treated with a “that’ll do” attitude.
Ask someone to mend something, work will get done. Quality? “It’s good enough”.
It just pisses me off.
…..
Okay fuck this. The touchscreen on my tablet is acting up again. Writing this post on it has become unbearable.
Ciao.
*** update:
The touchscreen is fixed! All it needed was for me to restart the damn tablet and everything is working perfectly again. Thank God.
